Questions and answers
The things trade buyers ask most. Anything else, email enquires@masted.co.uk.
Accounts
Do you sell to the public?
No. Masted sells to businesses only, and we ask for your trading details when we open an account.
What do I need to open a trade account?
Your business name and address, a contact name, and your company or VAT number if you have one. Sole traders are welcome; we may ask for a reference.
How do I pay?
First orders are paid in advance by bank transfer. Established accounts can apply for credit terms, subject to checks. All prices are quoted excluding VAT.
Ordering
Is there a minimum order?
Yes. It depends on what you buy and where it is delivered, and we agree it when we open your account. It is usually lower if you collect or join an existing delivery run.
Can I mix products on one pallet?
Yes. Mixed pallets are normal for us. Some lines are sold in full cases only.
Can you find a product you do not list?
Often, yes. Send us the product, the quantity you expect to buy and how often, and we will come back with a price and lead time.
When should I order seasonal stock?
Earlier than you think. Christmas lines are bought in late summer, and the best prices go to orders placed before the season starts.
Delivery
Where do you deliver?
Our own vans cover London inside the M25, with planned runs into the surrounding South East counties. The rest of mainland UK is covered through partner pallet networks.
Can I collect?
Yes, by appointment. Email us to arrange a collection slot.
What if something arrives damaged?
Note it on the delivery paperwork and tell us in writing within two working days. Our terms of trade explain how claims are handled.
Storage
How is storage charged?
Per pallet per week, plus handling in and out. We quote before you send anything.
Can you unload my containers?
Yes. We take 20ft and 40ft containers, unload, check against your packing list and report any damage the same day.
Is my stock insured while you hold it?
You should keep your own goods-in-storage insurance unless we agree otherwise in writing. Our liability is set out in our terms of trade.
